In desperate need of some pampering? Say no more! When your skin gets dry and is screaming for attention whether it is for the season change or any other reason, something must be done and there's nothing better than a body scrub to make you feel brand new.
Good news is you don't need to spend much money or even leave your home to make this fantastic homemade body scrub, guaranteed to make your skin soft, supple and glowing! We tend to forget that most of the time we have the solution right in front of us, at home. You should always consider a natural, drug-free option first. So, for this home remedy all you'll be needing is Epsom salt, olive oil and lemon juice! Save money making your own scrubs is super easy and effective.
Why it works? Exfoliation leaves your skin soft and radiant, scrubbing away dead skin cells and allowing your “new” skin to breathe and shine. It also breaks up things on the surface of your skin that can cause unwanted blemishes. This lemon-salt scrub is the perfect addition to brighten your day and skin.
Epsom salt has long been used for long, relaxing bathtubs and combined with lemon juice and olive oil -is perfect to revive any dullness. This is a key ingredient since it will clear away the dead cells that make skin look rough and textured. When Epsom salt is dissolved in water, it releases magnesium and sulfate ions which serve important bodily functions. It naturally softens skin, sloughs away dead cells, reduces inflammation, and relaxes muscles.
Olive oil is silky smooth and helps keep skin moist but not oily. Then we have lemon juice which is a natural whitener, acting as a sort of bleach to whiten your nails and cuticles and lighten dark spots on the skin, such as age/liver spots. The fresh scent is also quick invigorating.
This is the perfect invigorating body scrub to brush away dead skin. Enjoy!
